Administration and Organization

The Department of Midwifery consists of the following administrative and organizational structures:

  • DEPARTMENT’S GENERAL ASSEMBLY This is the highest administrative authority of the Department. The General Assembly consists of the Department’s Teaching Staff and the elected students’ representatives. The General Assembly has all responsibilities and powers.
  • DEPARTMENT’S COUNSIL It consists of the Head of the Department, the Chairs of Course Sectors, and the elected students’ representatives.
  • HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT Is elected by the Teaching Staff and students’ representatives.
  • CHAIRS OF COURSE SECTORS The Department of Midwifery is organized in two Course Sectors:
    • Sector of General and Special Courses.
    • Sector of Midwifery Care and Specialization
    Course Sectors consist of the following structures: The Course Sector’s General Assembly and the Chair of the Course Sector. The Course Sector’s General Assembly consists of the Sector’s Teaching Staff and two students’ representatives.
